How to integrate Call Loop with MailChimp

Updated over 2 months ago

Call Loop now includes a direct Mailchimp integration, allowing users to sync contacts between both platforms automatically, whether the contact is captured inside Call Loop or through a Mailchimp web form.

How to Integrate MailChimp

Go to Settings → Integrations inside Call Loop and click Connect on Mailchimp.

You’ll be asked to log in to your Mailchimp account. After logging in, a confirmation page will appear.
Click Allow, and your Mailchimp integration will connect instantly.
Once connected, it will appear in your Integrations list.

Option 1: Sync Contacts From Call Loop → Mailchimp

Using this option, contacts captured inside Call Loop (for example, through a list or form) can be automatically added to your Mailchimp Audience.

Step 1: Add Your Mailchimp Workflow Action

Inside the Mailchimp integration tab in Call Loop, click the + icon to create a new workflow.

You’ll see two available automation scenarios.
Choose: Send contact to Mailchimp when an email is captured in Call Loop.

Step 2: Configure Your Action

Select:

  • Audience (your Mailchimp list)

  • Phone field (default or custom)

  • Tags (optional — you can select one or multiple tags)

Click Create to save your action.

Step 3: Test Your Automation

You can send a test by entering a phone number and email, then clicking Send Test Request.

If successful, the contact will appear in your Mailchimp Audience with:

  • Email

  • First name

  • Last name

  • Phone number

  • Tags applied

You can also test real contact activity:

  1. Add a contact to your Call Loop list without an email.

  2. When that contact later submits an email, the updated record will sync to Mailchimp and appear in the Audience.

Option 2: Sync Contacts From Mailchimp → Call Loop

This option allows contacts captured through Mailchimp’s web forms to automatically appear inside Call Loop.

Step 1: Create the Action in Call Loop

Choose: Sync contact to Call Loop when captured through a Mailchimp web form.

Then configure:

  • Phone field

  • Call Loop list (you can create a new list directly here)

Click Create to save.

You can also rename the action at any time.

Step 2: Trigger the Sync

When someone fills out your Mailchimp form and subscribes:

  1. The contact first appears inside Mailchimp.

  2. Within moments, the contact is added directly into your Call Loop contact list.

All synced contacts include the Mailchimp Contact ID to maintain linkage between platforms.

Managing Your Mailchimp Actions

You can disable any action at any time by:

  • Clicking the toggle, or

  • Opening the action and disabling it from the edit page

This will stop the automation without deleting it.
