Call Loop’s Shopify integration allows you to automatically create or update contacts and send SMS/MMS messages based on Shopify events. This integration helps you connect your Shopify customer data directly with Call Loop, making your messaging more timely, personalized, and effective.
What’s Available with the Shopify Integration
At this time, the Shopify integration includes:
Actions

Shopify events (example: customer tag edited)

How to Connect Shopify to Call Loop
Step 1: Get Your Shopify Store URL
In Shopify:
Go to your Shopify admin
Click View your store
Copy your store URL
Step 2: Connect the Integration in Call Loop
Go to Settings → Integrations in Call Loop
Find Shopify and click Connect
Paste your Shopify store URL
Click Apply
Approve the integration on the Shopify confirmation screen
Once approved, the integration will connect automatically.
How Shopify Workflows Work in Call Loop
All Shopify workflows are configured inside Call Loop.
Step 1: Create a Workflow
Open the Shopify integration
Click the Workflows tab
Click the + icon to create a new workflow
Select a Shopify trigger (example: Tag Edited)

Action 1: Create or Update a Contact
This action sends Shopify customer data into Call Loop.
Required Setup
Phone Number: Must be mapped using a Shopify variable
First Name / Last Name: Use Shopify variables
Add to List:
Shopify does not support dropdown lists
You must manually paste the List ID
How to Add List IDs
Go to Contacts → Lists in Call Loop
Copy the List ID
Paste it into the List field
You can add multiple list IDs, separated by commas

Action 2: Send SMS or MMS
This action sends a message using Shopify data.
Important Notes
From Number:
Must be manually copied from your Call Loop numbers
No spaces before or after the number
Send To:
Use Shopify’s customer phone number variable
Message Content:
Supports Shopify variables (example: first name)
MMS Attachments:
One attachment only
Must be a direct URL (image or audio)

Testing the Workflow
Step 1: Enable the Workflow
Turn the workflow ON
Allow a moment for activation
Step 2: Trigger It in Shopify
Go to Customers in Shopify
Open a customer
Add or edit a tag (based on your trigger)
Save the changes

Viewing the Results
In Call Loop:
The contact will appear in the selected list(s)
Name, phone, and email fields are populated from Shopify
The message appears in your message logs
MMS attachments and merge fields are applied correctly

Call Loop also stores the MailChimp contact ID, linking the Shopify and Call Loop records together.
Managing or Disabling Workflows
You can:
Rename workflows
Disable them instantly
Edit actions at any time
Just click the workflow or toggle it off from the workflows page.
Troubleshooting
Contact not added to a list
Double-check the List ID
Make sure there are no extra spaces
Message not sending
Confirm the “From” number is copied exactly
Ensure the customer has a valid phone number
Variables not populating
Verify the correct Shopify fields are selected
Confirm the data exists in Shopify
Workflow not triggering
Make sure the workflow is turned ON
Confirm the correct Shopify trigger is selected
