Sending SMS from a toll-free number? Awesome! 🎉 To make sure your messages get delivered safely and reliably, Call Loop requires toll-free SMS numbers to be verified. Don’t worry, we’ll guide you every step of the way.

Heads up: Toll-free numbers are only needed for sending SMS messages. If you’re only doing voice broadcasts, you don’t need a toll-free number at all.

Verifying your toll-free SMS number ensures:

  • ✅ Your SMS messages reach your contacts.

  • ✅ Compliance with carrier rules and regulations.

  • ✅ Protection against misuse or fraud, keeping your account safe.

All numbers provided by Call Loop are SMS-compatible, so you don’t have to worry about technical limitations.


How to Get Your Toll-Free Number Verified

  1. Head to the Compliance Tab

    • In your Call Loop account, go to Settings > Compliance.

  2. Fill Out the Toll-Free Verification Form

    • Enter your toll-free number and business info.

    • Add the authorized user details.

    • Submit it, and we’ll send it to the carriers for review.

  3. Wait for Carrier Approval

    • Carriers usually take 1–5 business days to approve your number.

    • Once approved, your toll-free number is ready to send SMS messages.


Common Reasons Verification Might Be Rejected

Sometimes, verification doesn’t go through right away. Here’s why:

  • ❌ Missing or incorrect business information on the form.

  • ❌ Mismatch between account and authorized user details.

  • ❌ Missing crucial information, such as websites and an opt-in form.

No worries, these are easy to fix!


How to Fix Verification Issues

  1. Double-Check Your Form

    • Make sure all fields are correct, business name, contact info, and authorized user details.

  2. Update & Resubmit Within 7 Days

    • If your toll-free number is rejected, you have 7 days to correct the information and resubmit.

    • Go to Settings > Compliance > Toll-Free Verification, fix the errors, and resubmit.

  3. Reach Out to Call Loop Support

    • If verification still fails or your SMS is blocked, contact Call Loop support.

    • Include your toll-free number, account email, and a brief description of the issue.

    • We’ll handle everything with the carriers on your behalf, no need to contact them yourself.


Pro Tips & Best Practices for a Smooth Verification

Follow these steps to maximize your chances of approval:

  • Email Domain Compliance: Use an email address tied to your official business domain for submissions. If you don’t have one, consider setting it up, carriers prefer official domain emails.

  • Opt-In Documentation: Make sure your opt-in language and screenshots match your business use case (e.g., newsletters, health supplements).

  • Content Compliance Checks: Review your SMS content for SHAFT violations (Sex, Hate, Alcohol, Firearms, Tobacco). Remove or revise any high-risk language before submission.

  • Website Validation: Ensure listed URLs are accessible, relevant, and aligned with your business name and branding.

Other helpful tips:

  • Only submit toll-free numbers you plan to send SMS from.

  • Make sure your number is active and free of restrictions.

  • Allow 1–5 business days for carrier review.
