When sending SMS broadcasts, ensuring your message reaches the right audience is crucial. That’s where Filters come in handy. Filters allow you to refine your contact list and target specific groups, making your broadcasts more effective.

What Are Filters?

Filters function similarly to the Segmenting feature but offer additional flexibility when selecting recipients for a broadcast. Rather than predefining a segment, Filters allow you to dynamically narrow down your audience in real-time.

Step 1: Access the Broadcasts Section

  1. Log in to your Call Loop account.

  2. Navigate to the Broadcasts section.

  3. Click on Create Broadcast to start a new message.

Step 2: Compose Your Message

  1. In the Send an SMS field, type your message content.

  2. Select the Send From number that recipients will see.

Step 3: Apply Filters to Your Contact List

  1. In the To section, you'll see options for Lists, Contacts, Segments, and now, Filters.

  2. Click on Filters to begin refining your audience.

  3. Click on Add a Filter.

  4. Choose the criteria for your filter. For example:

    • Field: Email

    • Condition: Contains

    • Value: @gmail.com

  5. You can add multiple filters to narrow down your audience further.

Step 4: Review and Send Your Broadcast

  1. After setting your filters, review the estimated number of recipients to ensure it aligns with your expectations.

  2. Once satisfied, click Send Broadcast to dispatch your message to the filtered contacts.

By utilizing the Filters feature, you can ensure that your broadcasts are sent to the most relevant contacts, enhancing engagement and communication effectiveness.
